What discount did you get on your leftover or demo?
Hi all. Reading the thread "Why did you buy your Spyder?" I noticed most of us (yes, me included) had been interested in them for a while but were hesitant or unable to spend the dough on one until we either got a good deal from a dealer or bought a used one from a private seller.
I'm interested as to what deal I might expect for a leftover or demo from a dealer. Not necessarily now, just generally speaking. I understand about time of year, regional area, dealer incentives and starting original list prices all make a difference, don't need to debate those.
Since there's very different starting MSRPs for the different models, please post any reply in percentage off MSRP instead of saying 'I got $2200 off list'
Sorry if this makes you do some math in your heads. Thanks in advance.

Imotorsports just posted recently a few great prices on new 2016 models. Not sure if they still have available at the prices they posted??

FWIW, I got approx 19% off of list price on purchase of my leftover 2016 F3-T in June of this year.

When I bought my '14 RTL in November 2014, I got $4k off and 2 years extended warranty free along with no paperwork fee.

The "out the door" price is a combination of all the things that have been mentioned above. Usually a straight discount off the price is partly hidden in all the other parts. Dealers will sometimes "give" on one or more of the items already mentioned.
The bottom line for me has always been was the deal right for ME.
My last purchase of a new Vulcan (2015 in 2017), also sold by the CanAm dealer, did involve a discount. I had no trade, I bought $450 worth of bling items. I paid for the items--they installed them for free. I offered them a price of $7,000 OTD. They took it. That was 25% off of what they were asking. They wanted $9,300 on their "sale" tag. Maybe I could have done better, but I was happy with the "deal."

It all depends on whether you want to "walk in and buy it" or are OK with finding it long distance. I found an Internet Deal that was 25% off the MSRP
of a 2015 F3-S SE6 I ended up buying in June of 2016. It was well worth paying a few hundred to have it shipped to me!

Just Be wary of "dealer prep" or "assembly fees" usually added to the back end for profit, it's all negotiable.

Some friends of ours just picked up a 2017 RTL for just under 23K. Got some rebates, discounts and a demo discount of $3500.

I picked up my 2014 RT-Limited in November 2014. Original price was $31,500 and I got it for $23,500 with an additional 2 year extended warranty thrown in (4 year total warranty). I got mine from Louis Powersports in Greenville, Texas and everything was coordinated over the phone. They were GREAT to work with and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again if I were looking into getting a new machine.

Well, since you asked for a percentage, here you go. I got my 2014 RT in September of 2014 for 24 percent off, and an additional 2 year warranty. Then in April of 2016, I purchased my 2016 F3T, and had it delivered for 20 percent off on the OTD price. They also allowed me $1k more for my 2012 RSS than I paid for it 6 months earlier.

Thank you everyone. This gives me a good idea that 20% off is frequently given.

Just bought a 2015 demo F3-S SM6 with 300 miles from a dealer in northern Maine. $13,200 OTD. $300 to ship and I pay state sales tax. I have no idea what the MSRP was, but guessing close to 40% off.

New out of the crate 2014 ST-S for $14,999 in March this year. They re-did the fluids and filters and plugs as pre-caution.

In early 2016, I got my yet-to-be delivered and assembled 2015 RT-S for about 20% off retail ($23K instead of $29K), with a couple extra years of warranty tossed in.
