    Default Upgrading from 2012 RT/AC to 2017 RT-S tomorrow

Got I good deal (I think) on a 2017 RT-S demo with comfort seat, custom wheels, luggage rack, vented windshield. Been reasonably happy with my 2012 RT/AC, but the 2017 was so much nicer when we test drove it that I think it'll definitely be worth the upgrade.

Will be putting 500 miles on tomorrow between riding to dealer, getting it up to 600 miles (CanAm policy apparently for a demo), then home. Should be a fun day!

Yes, my 2012 AC is the SM5. The 2017 is the SE5. I think I'm going to enjoy the nice big floorboards on the 2017 instead of the pegs on the 2012

You're going to love it. It may take some getting used to the floorboards since you're coming from a manual with pegs. The brake pedal is higher than you're used to.

You will truly like the upgrade to 1330. I still like our 998, but prefer the 1330.

Got it home last night. Rode total of 500 miles yesterday, 100 to dealer on 2012 model, then 300 to get the new one up to 600 to qualify as a demo, then 100 back. Got 40 MPG riding it back, the 2012 would have gotten 34 I'd guess based on experience.

The 2017 is definitely smoother and rides better (IMHO) than the 2012. The 2012 had a meaner exhaust note but other than that I love the 2017 upgrade.

Dealer had added the vented windshield, comfort seat with backrest, blade wheels, luggage rack and adjustable side vents, all included.

Now to look around at what other people have modified to make it even better
