Default Making the accessories fit together - Corbin interferes with BRP rear rack

I found a great deal on a new BRP rear rack, which provided a platform on which to attach a Givi plate for holding a top box

Then, I found a great deal on a used (two-piece) Corbin saddle. Unfortunately, I found interference between these two accessories. The back edge of the passenger saddle hit the front edge of the rear rack, putting way too much back-to-front pitch for m'lady to rest easy on pillion. Knowing what it feels like to me if a saddle is slanted toward the gas tank on a motorcycle, I sure didn't want to put my riding buddy through that kind of torture. Sort of like the condition hikers get from a long downhill descent called "downhill toejam," if you get my drift.

The only way to get the rear of the seat on an even keel (i.e. low enough at the back) was to grind awaya serious amount of the rear rack's front edge to allow the seat to clear. It started out pretty darn ugly:

As I continued to grind, the edge got better:

Finally, the saddle would drop down, clearing the rack's front edge, and cover up 98% of the ugliness.

Unless it's pouring down rain in the morning, we get to go for a spin and see if this solved the issue. If not, she's gonna have to get her own!

Give a kid a hammer and sooner or later, he'll find something to break.

Did I mention I had to un-rivet the seat cover and grind away parts of the seat base? Once I got the back edge to clear, I discovered it was then hitting the arm rest support bars. Arrrrrgh!
