Anyone changed base F3 turn signals to LED's?
question pertains only to the Base and S.
Has anyone changed rear bulbs and front to LED?
If so, did you need to change the flasher?
Please don't tell me there's a kit to purchase, I know that.
And I don't think the kit replaces the stock rear bulbs.

Spyderpops has rear LED kits for the F3 and F3T each with strobe modules already wired in.

That's from AutoZone, correct?
Can someone tell me if the Spyderpops or Lamonster tail light kits come with bulbs that replace the stock bulbs, or is it just add-on LEDs and keeping the stock bulbs?
Has anyone installed LED front signal bulbs with the rear kit?

Funny you should ask! I just got the ones from Lamonster for my F3-S yesterday. And I'm actually disappointed in them! The tail lights are brighter but the brake lights aren't! AND, after spending 45mins f**king around with the hyper flash reset procedure, only one side will reprogram! Even weirder, when I swap the new LED bulbs left to right, the hyper flash changes sides! So I get to choose whether I want the left or right side to hyper flash!
Hate to say it but these are going back. Not gonna add resistors. That is completely stupid when there are "CANBUS smart" LED replacements out there....
UPDATE: Let me start by saying sometimes it isn't fun having something "special"! After taking a break and getting a bite to eat and having a "think" about this. I was able to resolve my situation by modifying the procedure a bit. I had noticed that the hyper flash side would function normally when applying the brake. So, after applying the hazard press for 40sec, I would apply the brake, THEN, do the procedure for the turn signal WHILE STILL APPLYING THE BRAKE! Both sides are now functioning normally, with and without the brake applied!
Hope this helps some folks that are still having probs.... YRMV.
That said, I would still not recommend these bulbs nor do I think I will be keeping them. Aside from the shenanigans it takes to make them work, they are noticeably less bright when on the brake circuit compared to the OE incandescent bulbs.
Especially after remembering all the good stuff I have gotten in the past from SuperBrightLEDs who sells CANBUS "smart" LEDs that work even in notoriously PITA vehicles like BMW and MBZ!

I replaced my rear bulbs with Lamonster LED's but can't get ride of the Hyper flash. I tried resetting per Lamonster directions - hold down the emergency flasher button for 30 seconds, then turn emergency flashers off, then allow the turn signal to signal once, then turn off the bike. Then do the other Right or left you did not do the first time. I tried this process many times but still have hyper flash. Don't know if not having front LED's in the blinkers is the issue. Any one know or know what I'm doing wrong???

Rapid Blinker Correction
This works no need to use resistors.
Should your blinkers go into Hyper-flash, you can try the following procedure to fix this.
1. Turn the bike on.
2. Hold down the hazard light switch on for 30-45 seconds.
3. Turn the hazards off and put the right signal on and turn the bike off right after the first blink on the blinker.
4. Repeat the same process for the left side.

Would this apply to the F3 T also?... also what is the bulb type # and how many bulbs per side(can the LED conversion apply also to the front turn signals?)

Bruce I have tried this process many times on my F3 and I still have hyper flash. I don't know if it is because the front blinkers are still stock and only the rear blinkers swapped out with LED's??
Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, It doesn't make any difference whether the front are still stock, but you must be very quick turning off the key (after the first blink) I have done several now.

Bruce,
I've tried the process many times, but still not working. Let me ask this question, does the bike ignition need to be in the on position (which is what I've been doing and Lamonster did in their video) or does the bike actually need to be running, as someone noted below.
Thanks,
Jeff

This has worked for me:
Engine running, hold down the hazard button for 30 seconds, then activate both side turn signals, one then the other, while holding down the hazard button and then turn off the ignition. You may need to do this more than once but it's always worked for me. I originally had only changed out the tail light bulbs but now have LED's all the way around.
Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

This only partially works on the F3S. Since the bike shares the same lamps for stop and turn functions, there is no provision in the software to calibrate both instances. So do the procedure above without your foot on the brake and it sort of works. Until you hit your brakes......
On the F3S, if you are replacing the stock lamps, the resistors or lamps with the resistors built in are going to be needed to get rid of the hyperflash.

You don't really need to change the rear bulbs to leds- On my 2015 F3 Base Model I just added a LED 10 inch strip on each side of the back and taped into the stock wires SO they operate as Brake and Turn Signal? Now I have the Stock bulbs PLUS Leds for about $50.
I'm going to do the same on the Front turn signal- Take off cover -Positap a Led strip to the front signal light that goes around the whole light so it can be seen from the back and YOU can Now see the turn Signal yourself instead of that Display which is terrible in the sun.

Back in Sept. I got the Lamonster brake turn kit from my daughter for my birthday.
I had already gotten the Matazu bags with lights.
Hooked up the bag lights instead of the ones with the Lamonster kit using the flasher dealie in the kit.
Now I have brake and turn on the bags and rapid flash the solid on the brakes (from the kit).
Works great and very visible.
Working on a new front turn signal set up and relocated mirrors. More on that when it's finished.
