BIG F already gave us the date.
My dealer just sent me a message that the dealer show is Sept 20-23 and all of the 2018 models will be introduced/announced...

Those spydrers are 10th Anniversary models. Can only order them until October 2017.
There will be other colors and surprises for 2018

My bet is the Oxford Blue that is currently only on the F3S becomes available on the F3T. The dash/radio system is way overdue for an overhaul.
We could also wish for the elimination of the metal key and DESS system with the addition of an RFID system like Harley has had since 2007 and every major auto maker now uses.
I can still hope for MORE POWER but they likely will ignore me.
We already know there is a new wheel style to be available and likely in something other than gold paint.

The dealer show is September 20-22 in Dallas. The "Global Product Reveal" is scheduled for Wednesday 9/20 from 8:00-8:45 pm. This will be for the full 2018 Can-Am line not just Spyders.

Roll on the 20th! (21st here in Australia!)
I now have things in place to get an RT....but i really want to wait to see what the 2018 will be! Plus i might be able to get a better deal on a 2016 or 2017!

Other ways to entice?
I can see it costs a lot of money for a new body style or something along those lines. Personally I think some of these would be cool:
- New model: Stretched version, 6" longer wheel base with longer seat. I'm a big guy and it gets cramped two up on long hauls.
- Turn the LCD into a real interface like cars? A 6" - 7" touch screen with GPS & bluetooth built in. You can connect both helmets to it for intercom, phone, etc. You would only touch it setting up GPS.
- Turn the analog gauges into power, or several optional items (mounting cup holder, USB interface to your phone, etc.)
- Pre-drilled and capped spot(s) on handlebars for mounting systems
- More better options! Instead of being money grubbers, use the fan base market to add to your catalog. You'll get your cut! Bumpskids, XGrips, LED kits, Sway bar, the cool rims, etc. And the one I appreciate the most working on my spyder - Magic Mirrors Mounts! Tore up way too many cheap plastic pieces.
Things that don't require hardware:
- With the 1330 settled in for a few years now with most kinks worked out, how about a better warranty?
- BRP sponsored events with extended hands on & test drives
- BRP sponsors technicians to go to Canada and get certified. Way too many people complaining their service department lacks in depth training or knowledge. For the cost of a plane ticket and two weeks hotel, you can drastically increase the customer service across the globe.

BRP/BEST needs to make this happen PRONTO, and make it apply to the '14s-17s as well. Talk about Confidence Inspiring. I believe that some of BRP's recreational vehicles have up to a 7 year total warranty.

2 yr warranty is pretty standard in the motorcycle business I think. The BEST extended warranty is pretty cheap really and that gives you a full 5 yrs. Not bad in my opinion.
Personally I think an easy thing BRP could do that wouldn't cost them a lot of money is upgrade their creature features (standard). Specifically, the speedo/info area, blue tooth connections, GPS, radio, heated grips, cruise, options like sport, rain mode. Things that are pretty standard on 2 wheel bikes in the same price range. It's just electronic/programming changes....easy money.
That said. Until they release a bike that has the sport riding position (not cruiser sport......just say no to the F3 riding position(s)) I'll be saving my $ for other toys.

I would love a keyless start/entry option.
The black and gold is awesome looking but many many many people just don't like black vehicles.

I personally have no problem with the standard 2yr warranty and then purchase additional years. Trouble is, BRP limits coverage to 5yrs. I understand that limit for the early bikes but they really have gotten much better. I think BRP should have it actuaries look at repair cost rates for years 6 and 7 for the 1330 bikes and offer longer BRP Best plans. The aftermarket already is but much more diffecult to deal with aftermarket warranties.
I think there is real money for BRP to make here.

I ordered my 10th Anniversary bike early so that I would receive two extra years worth of warranty at no cost...
