"Nanny" Question
How do you know when the Nanny has kicked in?
This weekend, I've been riding for the first time with a friend who's on a 2-wheeler, and he's encouraged me to be a bit more aggressive in the twisties. He also noticed that I've been riding my brake a bit, which I'm now working to correct. In either case (twisties and brake riding), I noticed a "chirping" sound at times for the first time today. Is that the Nanny kicking in or was it something else?
Thanks!

As I see it...
The most noticeable things the nanny does is....apply the brakes and retard the ignition (cut the engine). You will notice this when you come into corners to fast , lift a wheel or come out of a turn and power at an angle. The other features are warning lights and limp home modes. She does not like riding the brakes and banked sweeping turns.....

When "Nanny puts her hand on your shoulder": you'll feel the power sort of sag... as if a plug-wire was pulled.
As soon as things get sorted out: everything picks right back up!

how long do you ride the brakes before you are alerted and she gets pissed ?
every once in a while i do that and feel the motor lugging or forget to
completely take my foot off after a stop[extended pedal]. its only for a
couple of seconds so ive never seen anything on the display.

If you "ride" the brakes for an extended period of time: you'll end up lighting your main screen up, with about every warning light that it holds...
Don't do it!

The chirping sound is the front tire squealing. It could be the nanny hitting the brakes for you, or if you have fooled the nanny by proper corner set-up and powering through the turn, simple squealing tires. The latter is more fun.
