Default Canam RT Spyder gasket leak coolant

Hi all", here is the culprit of my coolant leak, and the guy here said it would be fixed under extended warranty, and it is no wonder I could not find the leak until I took the plastics off for inspection,

    Default Thanks....

for the follow up and letting us know where the leak was coming from. That is the toughest one and least common. Hope they have space to get you fixed up quickly and be back on the road....

That's not where it leaked from - that's where it collected.

Hi Freddy", the Gasket is all damp on the bottom between the cylinder base and crankcase, and if that's where it is collecting then the gasket is faulty. Where do you think it is leaking?

I don't know where the leak is. The reason I said that gasket is not where it leaked from is because I didn't think that gasket seals any water passages, only oil. But on looking closely at the w/shop manual and parts fiche I may well be wrong. The water pump seems to pump up from the crankcase right side. Sorry.

Hi Freddy", no worries mate no need to be sorry, I am just trying to determine where the leak is that's all, and that's what I thought too about the gasket

Hi Freddy", you were right in saying that's where the leak collected and I know now that the leak is coming from the 2 hoses that go into the motor at top right hand side,

numbers 28 and 6 in this diagram, the bad thing is that the parts are on backorder and I may not have my Spyder back for 4 to 6 weeks

    regards Peter

    Default Coolant leaking

I just discover a coolant leak at the right side of my engine. Not sure if it is a hose or housing mounted on the engine. This is 2016 RT Limited. Called the dealer and they said this is new to us. They said bring it in and they will look at it. I hope this is not going to be a bad thing. Little Blue

    Default Coolant leaking

Dealer called and said it was the water pump. Not to worry, it will only be 5 - 7 business days for the part to ship. Then they will be able to do the necessary repairs. Time in the shop about three weeks. Little Blue

Peter, it's much more likely to be the clamps than the hoses.
