    Default Lugnuts

What size lugnuts are on a Spyder and the best way to get them off without breaking or striping the lug?

Default Lugnuts are 21 mm on Spyder

Lugnuts are 21 mm on Spyder, and a 13/16 spark plug socket is thin wall and will fit a little tighter and do fine to remove and then when you go back with clean wheel and nuts, torque to 77 ft-lb and you'll be good to roll.

Use a six point socket for best grip on the nut.

I like even numbers and torqued mine to 80#s. I believe to specs call for 80 +/- 3#s

IF you know what you are doing. I have made a lot of money over the years from folks who went after their bikes with a shiny new impact gun

    Default Lug nuts

The reason I asked was I only had a 3/8" rachet, I put a big wrench on the end of it and broke the rachet. Had to borrow a 1/2" to do the job. Got my centramatic balancers installed ok.

Now you have an excuse to get a better ratchet!
