Default How many of us are still riding two wheel motorcyles?

Just curious as to how many of us are still riding two wheel motorcycles now that they own Spyders? And if so, what are you still riding?

    At the moment no.

I am considering getting one of the new Royal Enfield Himalayans as the one thing the Spyder isn't much cop at is 'the less travelled road' i.e. dirt tracks etc. My old ute (pickup) is getting on in years now so needs to retire from off-road exploring. Want something I can disappear into the hills on:-)

If BRP don't come up with a replacement for the RS then I'll have to go back to 2 wheels when I've run this one into the ground. Will be a shame as I prefer a Spyder for road riding but not much option.

Still riding my Kawasaki 1600 Nomad. The Nomad is my solo ride, and the Spyder is for 2 up and when there is rain in the forecast and I want to ride anyway.

    Default looks like ...

looks like the Harley might be the way to go , the interest rates are very appealing , local shop is pushing the zero interest for the life of the loan type deals ... but price will be the kicker

I've still got a Suzuki Vstrom and a Yamaha WR250R in the garage. They haven't gotten any attention since I got the Spyder this year. If my son doesn't start riding the Vstrom I may sell it.

    Default Still riding Gold Wing

We still are riding the 2015 Gold Wing as well as our 2014 RT Limited. Teresa prefers us riding the Spyder from a "safety" standpoint. So, we added a Russel day long seat to increase comfort on the Spyder since that is the bike we add up the most miles. Gold Wing is around 11,000 miles now (mostly solo riding) and the Spyder RT at 41,000 miles. Rendezvous and Red Rock rallies here we come!

Had a wing before the spyder and now have a wing after the spyder. The spyder is a fine machine but I just couldn't get two wheels out of my head. Who knows, I may try three wheels again before they throw dirt in my face.

Traded in my 2009 Vulcan 900 LT to get Linda her own 2011 Spyder in 2012. Also had hip issues. Got a new hip this January so felt the need to get back on two wheels.

Purchased another Vulcan 900 LT (a new 2015) in June of this year. I trade off between the Vulcan and the now. Have put 3K miles on the Vulcan since June. I missed two wheels.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Between 2 Wheelers as far as owning goes atm, but similarly to PistonBlown, I have been riding & will return to/continue riding 2 wheelers on 'the roads less travelled' we have out here.... something we've got a helluva lot of Down Under!! There again, if BRP would only release something better suited; maybe a touch narrower, with a fair bit more ground clearance, capable of running better tires & drive systems suitable for on/off road tracks, & with a bunch more low revs poke/gearing, then I just might be tempted into trying some 'reverse trike off roading'?!? As it is, my 2013 RT Spyder sees a fair bit of good dirt & gravel roads, as well as thousands of miles of chip-seal black top!! But for the real 'off the beaten track' stuff, atm I'm back on 2 wheels for at least one day most weeks!

Would anyone else be interested in an 'Adventure Spyder'? Maybe a production version of that yellow off-road concept Spyder that's hit the boards every once in a while? Whaddaya reckon??

    Default 2 WHEELS

    YUP, 2 WHEELS.....
2 wheels on the left side, &, 2 wheels on the right side... it's called a TOYOTA TUNDRA....
Imported Photos 00000.jpg Imported Photos 00004.jpg
can't do a 2 wheel bike any longer..... right hip, knee & foot just YELL & SCREAM at me all the time....

however, had the SPYD3R been around in the 1960's when i first started riding, i would have opted for a SPYD3R way back then.... i just find it far more fun than 2 wheels... jmho....

    Default Hummmmmm..!

Had many vehicles but the last in a line of bikes was a custom sports wing...then retired from bikes all together. Not because of any issues but time to ryde. The wife insisted we need another bike but I said if we get one it will be a spyder....she bought us one The RS Sm5 and we have never looked back or miss two wheeling. Sadly whenever one of us gives out (if me no problem) if the "Jag" and I can't find another RS or the likes....I'll be done...will have to motorize a walker..
