CAT DELETE PIPE
I have one on mine .... I put in a Home- made baffle ( similar to Big City Thunders ) .... I like the sound , it's only slightly louder , but a bit " growlyer (?) ... I did wrap the pipes with Thermo Wrap , to help with scavenging .... I like it ..... Mike

I have the cat delete with the BCT baffle. Yep it growls a little more but not real loud. Performance, some but not a lot. MPG, 1 or 2 but not a lot either. Installation, a little frustrating but not bad, I didn't lose any blood. Would I do it again, possibly, if I had the extra bucks, but it's certainly not worth letting the kids go without shoes.

I'm probably in the minority here but..............
Why ? I mean really.
It runs just fine the way it is, the way it was designed.
Altering the system might result in it running worse......and that might not be apparent right away.
Altering the emissions system is against the law.
If you live in a place with mandatory emissions testing that can be important.

With the bypass installed,
It runs better with more HP at the top end.
It put less heat on the rider. That cat gets VERY hot.
There are no emissions inspections for Spyders in any state in the US. Including CA.
Its SOUNDS better.
Really, the only down side is the few bucks you are out.
To me, it was well worth the cost of admission. Have spent far more on farkles that do far less.

Removing it certainly is an alteration.
OK I see your point .... My reasoning was the O 2 sensor is located before the Primary Muffler ( ie Cat )... The CAT also controls emissions .... it's just NOT checked by any authorities ...... I will Delete my post on this ..... Mike
