if the shop has the right adapter they can balance the wheels. I have used counteract beads on my Harley Trike and worked fine. Plan on using them on the Spyder soon.
I have a real problem accepting the functioning of beads used ti balance tires. Can the average tire shop mount and spin balance our wheels?
Why would you want those ugly weights all over your wheels when you can dynamically balance them with DynaBeads or Ride-On? Not to mention the ultra smooth ride, and the mega extra miles you get on your tires?

I've used them on my last three bikes, and now on the Spyder. I have always enjoyed a nice smooth ride at any speed, and my tires last 150% longer than everyone says they should. It's a no brainer.
I've never heard anyone complain about dynabeads being noisy
I've always used Ride-On instead of Dynabeads, but not for noise reasons

When I replace the next set of tires, I'm thinking Ride-On. I have about 19,800 miles on my 2014 RT and will be replacing tires within the next 10,000 miles - first time for fronts, second time for rear.
I've heard that when you start, the Spyder shakes for about 2-3 miles until the Ride-On disperses around the tires. This happens every time you start after stopping?
Also, how hard is it to put into the tires?
Any input would be appreciated!

The wierdness goes away after about 4 miles after you install it, and never returns. It's just a one time thing.
It's not difficult to install at all. You set the valve stem so it's in a 5 or 7 O'CLOCK position, and remove the valve. Once the tire is completely flat, you stick the tube (included with product) onto the stem, and squirt it in. The stuff is pretty thick, so it takes some shaking and hard squeezing to get the last drops in.
After you've installed the product, clean the stem and replace the valve. Refill tire to proper inflation (hopefully you have an inflator in your garage, if not you should have one anyway) , and go on to the next tire. Once they are all done, go on about a 5 mile ride to get it distributed.
Does anyone have any experience with using ceramic beads (e.g. E-ZBeads, DynaBeads, et.al) to balance Spyder tires? I have used them in bike tires with good results but am getting conflicting advice on using them in my 2015 RTS as the recommended tire sizes are low aspect ratio car tire sizes. If anyone has actually tried/used them would you please inform me of your results and how many oz. you used.

I use DynaBeads. They work great for me.
3oz in the rear, and 1.5oz front.
My tires were speed balanced and I left the weights on.
I have heard to remove them and I have heard I can leave
them on. That would be your call. But I have no issues leaving them on

Not any help with spyder experience but I did have them in my truck once. On a long trip, stopped at a truck stop to check air pressure. A bead got stuck in one of the valve stems and was letting all the air out. Truck stop didn't provide tire service so had to limp to a tire store with only the valve stem dust cap keeping air in. Had all the beads removed and tires balanced. Not on my list of things I want to try again on any vehicle....I guess lots of people use them without issues but not me.

I have got Centramatic wheel balancers on my 2014 RTS & they work great!
