 Shifting Problem
2010 SM5 having trouble shifting from first to second on upshift. "Misses" engaging the second gear and have to kick it up 2-3 times. No other gears having trouble. Is this a trip to the dealer?
Ryde, eat, sleep.... repeat

Probably one of the worst kind of dealer visits.....open case? shift fork, spools, spindles and widgets ...good luck, I am intimidated.

Little checking..
I would start by checking that the linkage is tight on the shift shaft. Don't know the model but the GS, RS, RSS, ST all have single arm shifters not sure on the RT's. Make sure the arm is tight on the shaft.  also make sure the fluid level is up on the master cylinder. Once out of first if its low it still shifts nicely.
