Default Blinders for the "BRIGHTSIDE" 2014 RT red fender lights???

Last year at the Spyders in the Hills rally I was very impressed at how the bikes with the Brightside red fender lights on them on really "stood out". I just installed mine and they are really bright. I am thinking that some "blinders" that shielded me from the direct glare would really be helpful. With my incipient cataracts the inside of my eyeballs light up. Has anyone here made something to shade the driver from the glare? I will be making some "proof of concept" shades out of cardboard to see if they help. These would be attached directly to the inside and top edges of the light. I'll report on the outcome.

What type of helmet do you wear?
I found that with a full-face or modular helmet: I couldn't get close to seeing any of the lighting on my fenders.

    The chinbar blocks everything!

I have the red fender LED'S with safety reflectors ( from Tric-led) on my fenders, yes they are bright, but they do not bother me when I am driving. Vehicles that are behind me can see the width of the spyder( there is 2 wheels up front ). As I have been told, my spyder is lit up , when I am on the road at night/or going to work very early in the morning( 4:30).

I have a 2014RTS-SE6. Look at "MY Albums" for pictures.

I would rather be seen, when I am on the road, during the day/or night.

    Good Luck!
I hope that it solves this problem for you...

I've got a set of eyeballs that are about ready for the scrap-heap.
Both eyes have had all of the photocoagulation treatments that any eyeball can absorb, and the left one has had the added insults of a detached retina, and a cataract removal...
So I completely understand how bright lights and glare can get you unhinged a bit...

And I'm sorry to hear that you're going through all of this... Hang in there!

if you don't want them so bright you can add a resister that would cut down on the intensity

    Default Bright sides

I also have the brightsides installed. I also installed them so they work with the turn signals. They are bright and I only use them during the day. They are just to bright from dusk to dawn. I installed a black pushbutton on/off switch in the black grill so I can turn them on/off. I put a switch on each side since they are also turn signals.

When darkness finally came I put on my Shoei hornet and rode around. If I held my head straight up and not tilted down a bit the helmet blocked most of the glare, Once I get on the road I may find that the glare is a non-problem. I really like what I saw when I rode behind the guys that had them. Keepers.
