TIRE PRESSUE USIBG fEDERAL TIRES Help
i JUST INSTALLED A SET OF Federal 165/55R15 tires and filled them to 23 PSI. I now that this tire was a preferred due to postings but lost what people were running them as pressure. Was 23 the optimin setup?

I'd start my testing at 20psi, and be prepared to adjust them downward a tick or two...
The OEM Kendas kind of need a bit more air in them, in order to keep the rims from hitting the road!

Seen anywhere from 18 to 25 PSI so guess 23 is a good starting point. For auto usage they want 32PSI. Think if they put that in I could do wheelies with the bike, but then bounce all over hitting train tracks and potholes. Will stay at 23 and see if that works for now. Not riding a lot being 99 outside and rain every afternoon. Next big trip id to the Grand Canyon in September. Red Rocks Rally.

I am running the AZ01's at 18psi. I started and 16psi and bumped it up to 18psi. We do lots of high speed interstate, two-up riding.

maybe reset to 20PSI if a rough ride.
Not sure of the difference in Federals but these are the 165/55R15 - 75V Max Performance SES EVO.

In comparison to a car your Spyder weighs very little ..... however you have a tire that can support approx. 1300lbs ..... I say 15-16 psi so your tire will have more traction in the rain, plus if the tire is more compliant your ride will be less harsh when hitting bumps or potholes ..... A jarring front suspension is not good for keeping your alignment where you want it ....... Mike

I've got Federals over here in Cloudcroft I've yet to install. Be interested to hear what you decide for pressure settings. It's on mu list for next week, though.
