2013 RT back rest & seat don't jive?
My Spyder doesn't have a slot to put theback rest hardware through, what is the alternative?

You can buy a backrest from Utopia but you have to cut the hole in your seat to install it. Beginning in 2014 the stock seats have holes in them for mounting BRP backrests. The newer seat will fit your 13 so getting one from someone is an option

You can also look for a 2014+ stock seat on the "For Sale" section where many have bought an aftermarket seat and have their old one collecting dust.

Backrest instructions
I have the Utopia backrest on my bike. If you go to the Utopia website, they have instructions on installing the seat with photos.
