Rear brake pad question

Changing rear brake pads on 2014 RTL. Have reviewed forums and confused about resetting piston. Some say turn clockwise and some say counter clockwise. Found one video and he turned clockwise but it was an F3. Need clarification.

CLOCKWISE - and it's a lot of turns to get it ALL the way in .... and it has to be ALL the in.... I got my pads from Ron and cut a deep line in the pads on an angle ..... I haven't heard any squeaks , even in reverse .... Best of luck .......... a tip, if you have someone who can hold the caliper assembly while you get the piston in ....... it's 3 X's easier ....... Mike

The rear caliper also serves as the parking brake the rear piston needs to be retracted as the fronts with a C-clamp.however, it is likely that it will not retract far enough to complete the install. You will see 2 holes in the top of this piston bag for inserting a tool. The rear piston must be turned CLOCKWISE to retract the parking brake system. It is best to clean the rubber piston boot before this step it may take a good deal of force to start the piston turning but should get easier once the piston begins to turn. Turn the piston until it bottoms out."

I said I cut a line in the Pads .... I did this with a 4 1/2 angle grinder using a 1mm cutting wheel/blade I got at Home Depot .... this is the thinnest blade I have ever found ...less than $3.00 .... I cut the line on an angle that would promote the exit of water ...... there is No squeaking .... Mike
