Default A $ TIP FOR SHIPPING SEAT AND LIKE OBJECTS

When asking them ( ie UPS etc ) for a shipping quote make sure they are giving you the BEST rate , which is GROUND ..... everything else is by Air Plane and more than DOUBLE the ground rate.... Using zip codes UPS can give you the cost on their web site for shipping ...... Mike

As a retired UPSer I can tell you that some "air" packages never see the inside of a plane.

    Default Here's the thing....

As nice as all the ease making offers from the other companies are...I find that in the end if you want the best rate USPS is still the best. Probably one of the reasons it is not a money making business that and it is a government run business. The UPS store where I send packages from always tells me that and if the difference is minimal I go with them if not it's off to the post office....📦

.... I have shipped small items vis USPS that UPS couldn't even come close to the price ..... However USPS wanted $ 98.00 and UPS $ 42.63 ...for the BRP seat ... it pays to check ...... Mike

    Default Here is another way

All the shippers are concerned with the package size more than the weight they charge by the size
the more room it takes up the more it will cost, I have found that the least expensive way to ship
a full sizes seat, say one from a Can Am RT is the good old USPS... and the funny thing they take
your money and put it in the back where UPS or FedX picks it up and sends it on it's way..
I got that clue from my Post Master

All the RT seats I have shipped were at or about $100. It's the size of the box(seat) not the weight. One time the clerk said I could put in a 50lb. bag of stone and the price would be the same. Tom

I ship a lot of items and the USPS is great and usually has the best prices... until your package gets over 40 lbs or too big.

The big packages like seats.... FedEx beats UPS and USPS.

    Indeed pays to shop around.
