Now I'm very new here but. 900 miles in a day. So 24 hrs, allow 4 of them for comfort and food stops, the average is 45mph. Amazing. How's he managed that!!!

When moving early this year I did over 1000 in a day, started at 4am was on the hwy by 4:15 and when i stopped i was at the new home 11:30 that evening.
I made plenty of stops, was parked in traffic for 1/2 and hour due to construction and an accident, was almost out of gas during that, avg spped was 54 miph all most all the roads i was os were 70-75 speed limit. Missed my 1000 in 24 iron butt by a signature when i left the gas station in the am.
sorry to side track the thread

Don't be humbled: be motivated!
I guess that with all of our Interstate Highways: we have greater opportunities to pile on some serious mileage in a day.

Your not wrong there. A few years ago we rode from Hamlin (Pied Piper and all that) in Germany to Nottingham in 12 hours . The mileage was 720 on a BMW RT with a good lot of German autobahns thrown in. Average was 60 mph but most of Germany was covered at just under 100 mph.

I used to drive 600 miles from Ft. Wayne IN to Duluth, MN and back on a regular basis. It took 12 hours, with two out for R & R. Ten hours driving time. I would leave at 3:00 AM from FT. Wayne so I could avoid the Chicago rush hour traffic. Also about 650 miles from Duluth, to Murdo, SD for vacation stuff.
