Is it helping you get some more air?

    Thumbs up Need more air???

How about installing a Goldwing vent in the windshield for $50 and an hour or so of your time. A vented shield works great.

haven't removed them as of yet. was wondering if anyone had done so and if it made any noticeable difference. Honda vent sounds like what I need to do.

Quasi, I have the adjustable vents below the mirrors and Baker Air Wings. I get lots of air. I can show you if you like.

Does your present stock windshield have the two little "ports" near the bottom to let some air in ?

If not, getting one of those might be the easiest thing to do.
I might have one available in a couple of weeks.

I got one from BRP with a large "Goldwing" type vent in it......and replace the bottom deflectors with adjustable chrome ones.

Those two changes helped a bit but it is still HOT in Florida in the summertime.

I wanted to remove the upper set of little deflectors too......but getting to the mounting points looked a bit complicated so I left them alone.

The vented windshield also helps with relieving buffeting for the passenger.

only been 2 days since I installed the vent. we got snow on the ground and it is 14 degrees out right now. I expect it will be a while until I can ride. I've ridden in 15 degree air before. swore i'd never do it again. I've got about 1/2 mile of lousy muddy dirt road to get to what's left of the blacktop. conditions need to change before I venture out.

Let it sit, and give things a test when the weather is willing to co-operate!

Got to ride 3 days this week, some of it on the interstate. I opened the vent while on the interstate doing about 70/75 mph. got alot of buffeting which I didn't care for.

    Thumbs up Well????

Neither I nor my wife get any buffeting with the vent open on our RT. With the shield all the way up, we even stay dry in the rain. But we are not tall, that may be the difference.

    Default Little dodads

I took them off a coupla years ago, for a summer. They appear to me to shield the air from hitting your hands. Didn’t help very much. I put them back on when it got cooler, hands got cold. I got a set of adjustable shields under the mirrors from dealer, that I love.
