Transmission Gear Indicator?
I have a 2012 rt. The GF and I went on a ride earlier today. Everything went ok EXCEPT at one point I was in a series of curves and slight up & down elevations and shifting up & down to keep the RPM's in the good area. When I looked down at the instrument cluster to double check what gear I was in at one point, I swear to God, the gear indicator showed a capital E! I'm serious. I know what 12345 & Neutral and Reverse look like in the gear indicator! And I swear it was an "E"! I made a mental note to watch it a little more carefully and it seems to have corrected itself! I mean I stared at that "E" for quite a while and it didn't come back! I checked my owners manual to check it out and didn't find anything about it. Anybody have this happen or hear anything close to this ? I just checked ALL Fluids & they were all fine! Was I delerious or something? Any advise will be Greatly Appreciated! Thanks!

Most likely your gear position sensor has failed or going to fail

The "E" situation does happen once in awhile. I have had it happen when I tried to boot up to quickly. If you get ahead of the computer, it will happen. Just the computer letting you know who is really in charge--most of the time.
If it happens on a regular basis, you may be having problems with the gear position sensor as mentioned above.

Happens...
If you are shifting to lightly (be positive on the SE and solid on the SM) the computer reads it as a missed shift. Usually that clears and your good to go. If you get it often and you are shifting properly then get it checked out..
