    Default frunk

2015 RTS frunk lid not latching completely, any ideas as to why? Going to dealers tomorrow. Hopefully it's a easy fix.

Generally a minor adjustment, you'll be on your way in no time. That is to say if they can run out and do it for you takes 5min

As you face the Spyder with the Frunk open remove the left blk. plastic cover ... you will see the heads of two 10mm bolts , if you loosen them enough to just be able to move them .... the latch needs to come up / forward a " SKOOCH " ( tiny bit ) you can tighten and see if it's enough or just close the lid and it should line up if you moved it too much ..... then release latch again and tighten ... it should be in the correct position.... Oh yes, that's the first thing to check. Why do I know that? Hmmmm.

    Default Frunk latch chewed up

Hi - I have had trouble with the frunk latch for a long time. I thought it was an alignment issue. The dealer said I needed to jimmy the key in order to get the latch to hold. Only worked a little occasionally. I'm going to try Mike's suggestion about checking the latch screws - but my latch is all chewed up. Recommendations for where to get a replacement? And how do I lube the latch (es)? My rear cargo saddlebag is hard to close and has popped open at least three times - luckily no spillage at 60 mph, yet.

    Any help is appreciated.

mine has had problems occasionally and it usually turns out that the frunk liner has raised a bit on the top edge where the lip is. after reseating, it closes fine

I have a Hopnel soft frunk bag and also routinely throw my jock gear bag in the frunk when going to the gym. On occasion I have been less than watchful when removing either bag from the frunk and have knocked the gasket askew and then found that the frunk lid won't close. Thanks to SL I learned very early not to push the frunk lid closed and possibly cause the latch to bind when trying to open it. Some folks have suggested gluing the gasket in position but I choose not to do that.

....Your first problem is your dealer , His solution makes no sense .... #1..... what exactly is " chewed up ", the Latch mechanism or the receiver attached to the Hood ??? ...I'm assuming this is an RT ...., I can help but I need to know this info ...... Mike
