    Default Trailer adapter

I know there is an older post of this from a few years ago. But I am going to look at a trailer tomorrow new in box that has a 4 wire flat connection. I all ready have the 2012 wire harness on my spyder and was wondering if any one has made a simple adapter yet fro. The round to flat 4 pin. Wiring in not my strong point and if I'm left to my own devices of splicing things there is a good chance I'll set my bike on fire. Would I be better off taking out stock wiring and adding one of the harnesses from big bike parts?

not to jerk your chain, but you can find a 4 round to 4 flat at any good auto parts.

there is a 9 pin round schematic on here someplace. Once you have that, the pieces should fall into place.

I have a square 4, which works with "nothing else" also. I let my buddy with a circuit tester and a Hopkins adapter
turn my trailer 5 pin rd(aluma) into a 4 square in about 10 minutes.

also, for the tronically challenged, like me, any reputable trailer dealer will be able to do this in a flash for little cash.

Default 9 pin to 4 pin

Someone used to make the changeover harness, not sure who. Sometimes the harness comes up for sale here on SL. It's about 10 inches long and usually about $25. Good luck.
