Default Don't try it.....does not work

Have you ever tried pressing the start button to get the horn to sound off?

I did.....was installing a horn this morning and had everything completed and decided to give it a test. Kept hitting the button (what I thought/swear was the horn) and nothing. now I am pissed double checked everything and still nothing.... Decided to walk away because I was getting ready to pull it all off. few minutes later I came back and hit the button again....this time the right one and "vois la" it works. I was hitting the start button on the other side of the handlebar instead of the horn.

    Rough morning for me.....

I try to start mine with the horn button sometimes, after the third try I seem to get the message.

Hahaha....you're not the first and you won't be the last Sccar.

I often get everything set to start, including reading my safety card, of course, press the start button, and.......nothing..... bugger....panic......is the battery flat? ........nope, I have just, once again, brushed the kill switch for some reason.......maybe adjusting a mirror?.......I know, I know.....include turning the kill switch off when I shut down, and this problem wouldn't happen because flipping it on would be part of the start routine......maybe one day I'll get into that habit

It happens. If you're old enough you can blame it on age. If you're not, you just have to suck it up and take the blame.

Ask Lamont about the clutch and brake peddle on his VW Bug.....

Well actually, it might be better for me if you don't.

It's okay.......Throughout my life, I've always thought that in 20, maybe 30 years, I would get it together. Now, this thinking was fine when I was younger, but now if I can possibly get it together in just 20 years, I'll ONLY be 86.......... How the heck did THAT happen?!!! Life isn't passing me by.....it's running me over!!!

    Wow!!

You got the rare and valuable "F-3 Unlimited" model!

That's the one with the "adjustable horn button",; that moves around on it's own!

Still getting used to my new F3 toy. Just reached 'break-in' and first inspection mileage. Can't say that I have confused the horn with the start button yet, but confess that I have managed to execute a few left and right turns via the horn signal. I'm more likely though to have tried turning the F3 into an SE8- I like upshifting from 2nd to horn and then into 3rd; occasionally, I have even tried it from 4th to horn to 5th. Hasn't yet seemed to piss off the Nanny, though it does confuse the rev situation somewhat. I'm still searching to find the most 'seamless' rev number when inserting the additional horn gears; hard to sense it by ear because of the added sound effects from the horn. Last time I went from 2nd to horn to 3rd in town, I did get a nice wave from a little old lady, although I somewhat upset her dog. He probably thought I was trying a pick-up, even though she was quite friendly. Never happens while downshifting, what with those buttons being on opposite sides of the handle bar.
