Default Removal of Chrome Emblem on Rear Trunk

Does anyone know how to remove the rear emblem from the trunk on a 2015 RT? Someone badly scratched the trunk lid and i need to repaint it. I would like to remove the emblem to get a good sanding/paint/polishing job.

    Thanks for your help...

It's put on with two sided tape. I stuffed a screwdriver under mine. the tape gum will come off with gas on a cloth.

Heat it with a hair dryer first. This will soften/loosen the glue.

Let it sit in the hot Texas sun to let the adhesive get as soft as possible. I would then try to work it off with a plastic spatula.

Default A trick from the dentist

Dental Floss is a great tool for removing double sided tape. Just get it started under on of the edges and "saw" through the tape. If is amazing, and a really cheap tool.

After the tape is cut, you can remove it in a variety of ways, but this will get the emblem out of the way.

Thanks for all the help. I heated it with a hair drier and slowly pried it off with a spatula.

    Thanks all!
