Default 2011 RT rear brake pad wear

Greetings all. My neighbour is a mechanic and as noticed that there is about 1 mm of pad left on the rear wheel. Is this still ok or should I change the pads? If my neighbour does it, does the muffler need to come off and if so, do we need a new muffler gasket? Will Nanny get upset if we do this work or do we need to reset her?

Thanks in advance for your feedback here.

As I remember 1mm is the minimum thickness for replacing your brake pad,so yes now is the time. If you are DIY it is a fairly easy job and BajaRon a sponsor here has the pads. His are better and cheaper then factory.
