Question SE6: What's that subtle ringing "tinging" sound while driving?

Brand new machine here (F3-S se6):
Occasionally (from mile 1) I've noticed a very slight "clinging" sound when driving my F3-S. Almost sounds like a loose floating/spinning fender washer. (Not very pronounced.) The sound is typically is noticeable while driving at a constant speed/not while accelerating & not driving "hard." ~ It almost reminds me of the noise the old/real old snowmobile drive clutches made when they were worn.

So subtle... Almost unnoticeable with full helmet (I don't/won't ride without a lid so can't comment otherwise), but it's sporadically there. (I don't think it's "engine.")

    Default Gremlin bell

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the dealer put one on as a gift and just forgot to mention it

All kidding aside, normal. I think I even recall Shawn Smoak from Pro Caliber addressing this noise as normal.

Ahhhh, Shawn Smoak..... Good to know!

His YouTube vidoes actually played a role in my decision to get a Spyder.
Between him filming rides out of the dealership along with the 1'st perspective ride videos from Lamonster..... There was no turning back!

Funny story actually, but the day I rode it home was the first day I had ever even sat on one!
(Wasn't an "impulse buy", I had been contemplating this for quite some time. ~ And I have/had a lot of prior experience in the powersports industry.)

Default Shawn Smoak - which video for the "tingling sound"

Would someone be able to point me to the Shawn Smoak video where he talks about this tingling noise?

He has dozens of Spyder related videos.
    Thanks, John

On my Spyder when new and even now I get a similar sounding noise. My noise is coming from the exhaust pipe and appears to be the heat cycling of a stainless steel heat shield. To my ear it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Whether or not that's the OP's noise I can't tell for sure, but it's an idea to ponder.

OP here: Mine went away after the a couple of hundred miles.... Thinking the heat shield may in fact be the correct answer.

I hear a little valve noise on the F3 on the left, but that sounds like the RT with the tupperwear off, so I always figured it was normal.
