Of course the Spyder adds class.. I also see Harley is recalling 2017 bikes for a hose that can come loose and spray the rear tire, possibly causing accidents. That will be costly.

i have always wanted a harley, but you need short legs to ride one. i also have the same problem with the indians. i find putting my feet on the floorboards very uncomfortable because my legs are a little too long for them

The important aspect to consider when riding a motorycle of any size, is whether you can plant both feet flat on the pavement when coming to a stop. If one's legs are too short, then this will be problematic and your stability will be affected while waiting for the light to change, or moving through construction or rush hour traffic.

    Default Interesting. ...

In the short time I have been roaming the country side I have found that if any other motorcycles attach themselfs to a spyder it will be a Harley...Many are girls on the spyder and the boy on the Harley. Granted the touring types may ryde with the goldwing crowd to some extent but not as much as the Harley. May die down now that they are no longer V-twins but the accessories are at a par with harley stuff...

Well, my maiden voyage was with a bunch of Harley guys and my F3T blew an oil cooler which oil soaked my pants, muffler and frame on the right side. It took a week in the shop to fix waiting on a part over a holiday. Then, because it had filled up all my lower covers with oil, it pissed wherever I parked is just like a you know what. I have since made an effort to keep better company when I ride....

The Indians do have a lot more legroom than the Harleys though, John. ( the Chief series, that is), but you certainly have to have highway bars. The only models I have found that are close to fitting are the Victory Vision and CC. ( if you have to have your feet forward, like me)

I just looked at a matted black dark horse Thursday, it's a gorgeous bike but I love my spyder, it feels more natural to me, as far as the sitting position is concerned.

Two reasons I did not buy a Harley Freewheeler last February were reliability and comfort. The bike is too small and Harley reliability from past ownership is dismal.

i like forward controls on a bike, all the two wheel bikes i had were forward controls, and the ones they didn't have them, had highway bars. that's why on my two spyder RT'S a 13 and a 14, i put the hand brake on them and also put the highway pegs on them so my legs were stretched out all the time, i also used a sheepskin 1 1/2 inch gel seat on all my bikes to raise me up to help stretch my legs. is sucks getting old and set in your ways lol

    Default Indian Floorboards

I have a 2015 Chieftain and long legs. My knees were up too high so I ordered and installed a floorboard lowering kit made by Aeromach. Now I can ride for hours in comfort. I have only scraped the floorboard a couple of times and it's hard to get them to drag even with the lowering kit. I'm still not on three wheels yet but the day will come.

I have said it before...but think it is worth repeating.

I have no problem with what anyone rides. Better to ride than not ride.

Find the ride that works best for you and enjoy it to the max.

I have drooled over big iron HD and Indians. Cant buy the Indian here (no dealers), and I don't like the ergos of the HD. I am very comfortable on the smaller Vulcan 900 LTD. I also like my two 's as well.
