She Barfed! Should I be worried?

After a long hot, humid ride yesterday I backed my 2010 RT into the garage and shut her off. She did the usual fan coming on thing, then burped quietly and puked about a cup of antifreeze onto the floor. It was like she was overtired and just couldn't hold it in!

I'm thinking this may be normal (expansion of coolant), or something more serious. I have never added coolant (I've only had her since March), so I'm sure it wasn't something recent.

Any thoughts?

Was she running abnormally high temperatures?
It sure isn't a normal occurrence.
I'd start by actually checking the coolant level in the system.

No, she was running right at normal all the way.

Somebody in here will have an idea of what to do next...
The only time that I've ever had any vehicle spit anything out of the coolant reservoir, was when they were running hot...

When was the last time the coolant was changed..?? what was used..?? Then check that the radiator cap is on tight second detent, radiator hose, the one with the adjustable clamp is on tight, check that the resivoir tank is not cracked and check the waterpump seal is not leaking. It may have been overfilled or over heated or combination of both...

I was considering the possibility of overfilling...
But there's been no mention of any service work of that nature...
And on the off-chance that the fluid is original (): you would think that this sort of thing would have happened a whole lot sooner...

Check levels. If okay, give it one more chance. If it happens again, time to do some further checking.

Be sure you don't turn the cap on the radiator until the engine is completely cool! Also, there are two detents, to if you do open it, be sure to tighten closed until the second "click"

I bet its just the overflow tank letting a little out due to expansion. When you ride in hot weather, the anti-freeze will expand a bit more and fill the expansion tank. When you parked and turned the motor off, the waterpump is no longer circulating the anti-freeze. Even though the fans are running, it is only cooling the coolant in the radiators. The rest of the coolant sits in the hot motor and continues to absorb heat and expand. Eventually, if the expansion tank is full, the pressure relief in the cap will open and let some coolant out to prevent the pressure from bursting something else. You can check the other stuff people have mentioned, but I bet your ok.

Thats the answer I was hoping for! I'll check for leaks and hope that's all it was. Thanks!
