I don't know how far you have to get your Spyder off the ground but I think car ramps like you show may not do it. I had mine installed by dealer because car ramps wouldn't get mine far enough off the ground. Check with BajaRon.

Not sure if the rt is the same as the f3, but I just installed mine today on my f3. I used ramps on the front wheels but had to use my jack and bring the bike up higher just to remove and swap the sway bar so only a minute or two, the rest was easily done with just the ramps since I fit underneath. But I am a small guy.

Not high enough. You need to get the tires a minimum of about 16" off the floor. Here's what I did. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...l=1#post943149

When I had my 2012 Rt I used car ramps to do most of the work, then a floor jack to lift a bit higher to get the bar out/in. Just get a helper to keep the Spyder from tipping sideways.
Is it Friday yet? ... Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm retired

    Default Yes...

On your year and model you do not need to get as high as the newer ones. BajaRon has great instructions. I removed the frunk which is quite easy and gives you a clear shot to lube up the zert fittings for your front suspension and clean up back there..

You really do need to get it the full 24 inches off the floor. The full length of the sway bar has to be swung around straight down to get it in and out. I did not get a lot of improvement with the say bar on my F3-T. This is my second spyder had the 2008 GS premiere edition. (I got some years on Spyders) We did a mod on the GS with a swap to RT shocks. The RT shocks handled more weight and when installed on the GS made it like being on rails. I just installed Elka Stage 3's on the F3-T made a world of difference in handling. Before the Elka's I was getting nanny interference all the time on what I was used to doing on the 2008 GS with no problems. Since the Elka install I have not had the nanny kick in yet and am happy with how far I can push it thru turns.

Default Here's some info and pics

Good luck with your install. As earlier stated, you will need to get your Spyder high enough in order to get the OEM sway bar out and the new Bajaron sway bar in. I utilized a motorcycle jack to lift our 2014 RT Limited and then placed ramps (double ramps on front) and used blocks for the back tire. I would let the weight of the Spyder rest of the ramps, but left the jack in place as a back-up. I did all the prework (other than removing the actual sway bar) with it on the ramps. Then I needed to still lift it an inch or two (with the motorcycle jack) in order to get the old sway bar out and the new one in. Once I had the new one in place, the Spyder went fully back on the ramps with the jack in place as a back-up. I completed the work while it was well supported on the ramps. This work was completed in early 2014 when our Spyder was new - one of the first mods we put on our 2014 as we did the same for our 2012 RT Limited (which we traded in for the 2014)

I did the sway bar on our 2012 RT and the car ramps did the trick.
