 RIP NICKY HAYDEN
For anyone who follows motorcycle road racing, today is a sad day. Prob the nicest guy in the paddock. As someone who raced in the sport and having met him, I am deeply saddened and feel for his family and friends. This is Truly Sad!
To think this man rides motorcycle at 200 miles per hour and that can't kill him, but some idiot in a cage hits when he I see not wearing the safety gear that are tools of his trade, this is a very sad day! I was fortunate to see Nicky win at Laguna Seca in 2006 the year he won the Moto GP Championship! He was always gracious to fans and always had a smile on his face.
Condolences to his family! RIP Nicky!

Sad -- sad , sad indeed 
Always followed his races (along with the other greats ) up to the MotoGP level and then to WSK. A great loss to the sport.

Usually the other way around, WSB then MotoGP. MotoGP is def the pinnacle. Nicky won that championship in 2006 in a barburner finale. He was amazing.
