2014 RT A Arm Grease Fittings

Seen a post on SpyderLovers a few days ago concerning A Arm Grease Fittings.
I've always done my own maintenance and though I had looked in the past never seen any A Arm Grease Fittings on my 2014 RT Ltd.
After reading the post about the fittings had to check again!
My service manual has then clearly depicted in the manual but went in search of them and them are not on this model. (see attached pic)
Does anyone know if BRP switched to a sealed bearing on this model?

I just have a lowly RS but I believe that 2013 was the last year for non sealed bearings; mine does not have any zerks

I did a search for you looking for grease fittings.

According to JCThorne ... Starting with the 2014 RT, these bushings no longer have greasefittings and are maintiance free.

Question: Has anybody taken a "non-zerk" bike, and "re-zerked" it?

anyone that has performed their own service on the pre-14 will tell you that whomever decided to put 'straight-up' fittings in, has to be a ZERK-JERK.... absolute bear to inject grease into those... on my '09 RS, i R&R mine with 45 deg fittings... i'm so happy that BRP decided to eliminate those things and install 'no service' joints instead....

My understanding is no.
They changed some dimensions that wont allow them to fit without changing the entire A-arm assembly.

So I go to grease my 2013 RTL last summer and figure out you need to be a triple jointed monkey to get the job done. Soooo, being pretty smart (ha ha), I decided to change the zerks to 45 degrees, gonna be easier, right?? I go get the zerks and get about half way home and get to thinking......are the holes American or metric?? Are my freshly stolen from a Peterbilt shop zerks gonna fit the metric holes? Are they gonna work out at the first bump?? Chickened out, did not change them. Maybe this summer.....

My experience while installing Fox Shox on our 2014 RTS indicates the front suspension arms pivot on molded rubber bushings. Same type they use in a car front end or car rear suspension.

Most often these have an inner crush sleeve to allow the bolts to be fully tightened without crushing the frame or suspension arm. The outside utilizes a metal shell that is pressed in to the suspension arm.

Between these two metal parts, they mold rubber that flexes and allows the suspension arm to move up and down. while the rubber flexes to give rotation, it is also slightly compliant allowing a smoother ride.

Typically maintenace free until the rubber degrades, which is often many many years.
