    Default Steering stem

Discovered a healthy clunk when hitting a rough part of a road where one may become airborne a bit. On two wheelers this tells me that the steering stem is loose. Not much info in the manual as to how to get at the thing ! , looks like you have to take half the machine apart. Any advice ?.........

Could be shock bushings, A-arm bushings.
Two wheeler the steering head is supporting the weight of the bike making it necessary to have a much bigger head and bearing.
Can Am Spyder, the front suspension, upper and lower A-Arms are supporting the weight of the bike. Much less likely to have a steering head problem. Just like you wouldn't look at your steering wheel bushings in your car if you heard a clunk, I think you should explore elsewhere in my opinion.

Is it possible what you heard was a shock bottoming out?
Artillery lends dignity to what would
    otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
