Default DIY belt tenioner for 08 thru 10 RS/GS Spyders

Have this on my bike for over 2 thousands miles. Wanted to make sure it did good before posting it. This works well with the old style swing arms. Somewhere in 10 the started putting the different style on them. Bottom looks the same, but there is a place where a air bag can be installed on the newer swingarms. I used a set of 5.5 handle bar risers, some 1" handlebars, and a piece form Lowbrow Customs. If you look on the top of the swing arm you will see 2 places where there are 2 small holes in it. Directly on the bottom there are 2 more that is in line with the top holes. One of the bottom holes is tapped and used to hole the cable for the parking brake. I just moved over and made a place to re secure it. Took a brill bit and drilled out all 4 places so I could fit a 1/2"x41/2" long bolt thru it. The risers I used takes a 1/2" 13 pitch thread. Drop your bolts thru with a flat washer and a lock washer and start both risers on to them, but not tight. I'm thinking I used a piece of 1" bar by 10" long to hold the other piece. Install the piece from Lowbrow Customs on to the 1" bar. Not very hard to do this at all. I put my Spyder on car ramps so I would have room to get under it and drill. I will answer any questions if needed. Here are some pictures of it installed and also the websites to get the stuff for it. The places you see silver is where I marked it to make sure it hadn't moved.

    Default Just wondering...

How is your idler holding up. I talked to you at Spyderfest about it but you said you didn't have many miles on it at that time.
