    Default Removal of Taillights

I have a 2016 Spyder RS and am trying to remove the body panels to put in LED lights. How are the taillights removed to get that panel off?

    Very Carefuly,
They are a BIG pain in the butt whoever designed it never had to wrench on a motor vehicle
because they are hard to get to I would take off the rear side panels and the one just above
the rear tire, take your time you can do it.

There are also some tabs in there you have to be careful about breaking.

Sure does seem that way. Maybe I haven't been around long enough to butt in but...... as an FYI - the owners manual (at least 2012) has an instructional on removal under bulb replacement. I don't know that the same exists for your year or that the procedure remains the same. If it does I'd be happy to elaborate or help if a better answer doesn't pop up. By PM if need be or I can give an email

    Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice. It's not the bulb I need to replace, but to remove the unit. It looks like there is a rubber sleeve at the base of the light, but I don't see any screws or nuts holding it in pace and don't want to just pull on it. Maybe when I remove the panel, I'll see something.

You have to remove to replace the bulb. Well, essentially. If you have the manual look at the section it still applies to what you want to do, or so I believe it does based on your post and my understanding of the RD I am presently caring for.
