Screws for Spyder
Anyone know of source, online or otherwise, for the black torq head screws used to hold body panels on Spyder.
-
I'd take one of them to a Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or Lowes...
See if you can match it up with something that they've goy.

Most decent hardware stores carry them, maybe Lowes, or Home Depot

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

When I purchased extra screws for my 2008, Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace didn't have them in a torx for that specific size, and black. Maybe now they do.

There are a number of online dealers for Spyder parts. You can probably get them from one of them. They are not a commonly available screw.

I don't understand why not get them from the dealer. I do like consistency, and was willing to spend the premium price for the screws. If I remember right, I purchased 5, and still have all (5) of them from 2009. I guess for those that use ziplock bags for their gps, consistency is not priority, and that's fine too.

When I got a custom license plate frame I wanted two more torx bolts exactly like the license plate bolts on the bike. I bought 'em on line from BRP. Yes, they were more expensive than a hardware store brand if I could get 'em but I'm kind of anal about stuff like that when it comes to the Spyder.

Hey now, don't be a "hater" of the plastic bag on the GPS. I too bought some of the stock screws from an online vendor to have a few around for those DIY projects. In the grand scheme of it all, a few extra bucks on screws isn't a big deal
