    Default 2017 f3 Limited Radio

Not to even mention the crappy reception or lack there of, how do I go about changing or deleting
a preset number for a station. Anytime I try to scan for a station my radio goes to
FM 106 and stops. There is nothing but static on 106. Frustrated is not the word for it. I like to listen
to music and the radio and 6 speakers were a selling point with me.

Here is a clip from the owners manual. I can't try it myself as my new F3T is still at the dealership waiting for the weather to improve. But this is the process I recall from my ST Ltd

    Selecting a Radio Preset Station
Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to de-
crease or increase the preset number.
Press and hold the LEFT/RIGHT button
for more than one second to SEEK the
next available radio station. The radio
will remain tuned to that station.
Press the SET button and hold for more
than one second to enter the setup
    screen.
In the setup screen, press the
LEFT/RIGHT button to tune the radio
    frequency.
    Recording a Radio Preset Station
To record up to 15 station presets:
Press and hold the DOWN button to
record the actual frequency to the pre-
    set number displayed.
NOTE: While riding, the radio station
will be automatically recorded to the
next available preset number. If all
preset numbers are used, the preset
    number 15 will be overwritten.

I also have a 2017 F3 Limited. I found the directions in the manual confusing but I did figure it out. You can contact me and I'll walk you through it. Email: m_caudillo@yahoo.com.

My husband just purchased a 2016 F3 T but we are wondering how difficult it is to put the satellite on it. Bike is in transport currently but we are anxious and wondering. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have downloaded the app for my favorite radio station plus pandora - and I am a happy camper playing music thru my iPhone.

I used to have XM radio in each of my vehicles but the cost per year got to $400 and I did't like it so much anymore.

Also check the ground wire. The one under the antenna where it screws in. Mine had blue loctite on it. Reception improved some what. Still not great. Tom

Take a deep breath... read the manual...
    ...And read it again!

Then take the manual out to the bike, and follow the printed instructions: one step at a time.
    You'll get there!

Finless did figure out how to kill off all of the presets on the radio. I think that he created a video about it. You might want to PM him.

You folks that offered "help" by just telling him how great your I-Pod, smartphone, or whatever works for you: no help at all!

    Default 2017 f3 Limited Radio

Spoke with my dealer today and it seems like there is A LOT going on
with trying to get a radio to work as it should. Guess I will wait till
my scoot goes in for its first oil change and let them see if they can fix it.
Not a happy camper over this.

Just to see what it does, I had it scan for radio stations with the garage door open and the antenna 4 feet from the door. 2 found stations. Took the antenna off, 0. Took the antenna from my truck and loosely inserted it and found more than 10 stations. Conclusion is the antenna is lousy. I mean, it is short. Happened to be by the dealer and saw an older ST with a longer antenna and got one of them. Screwed it in and found more than 10 stations like with the truck antenna.

My conclusion is that the antenna is short and doesn't do squat. Get a longer antenna and be happy.

Go to your settings and make sure the region is set to US...mine came from the dealer set for Japan and consequently only scanned a limited fm band range
