And in that particular episode, this electric wonder car beat Henry Ford's gasoline powered automobile. The "inventor" (James Pendrick, not Murdoch) also created an ultralight aircraft, a microwave directed-beam cannon, and a long range ballistic missile. Who knew Victorian inventors were so, well, inventive. Maybe Pendrick is the unheralded father of the Spyder.
