    Default love my RS-S

Yes it is noticeable. However after 32k on my RS-S I do not mind the higher engine speed. GS/RS-S for ever!
If I can't fix it, I will fix it so no one can fix it. Sypder Loco!

You CAN loaf along at any rpm that the engine will give to you...

    Default Getting used to it!

After reading all of these nice and very helpful posts I got it in my head that the bike is supposed to sound like it does and after riding about 100 miles the other day I decided that it actually sounds kind of nice! I will hang on to the 2012 at least for this summer. It is finally warming up in these parts so I will be doing a lot more riding. Anyone from Wisconsin?

Let her sing to you and enjoy the beautiful music. The v990 is easily one of the best sounding bike motors of all time.
If you want to learn more about it check out the Aprilia AF1 forums. It's essentially the same motor that is used in the RSV, Tuono, etc.

It DOES sound pretty nice: once you get it up to where it likes to live and breathe...
