Why not just get a ThrottleMeister?

The 2008 was pre-cruise control--so I don't believe there is any existing wiring you can tap into.

My guess is that if you could find an aftermarket version that would work--you are looking at big bucks (as in over $1K) to make it work. That is almost 20% of the current value of the for that year. You would never get your money back on a trade in or sale.

I am thinking "throttlemeister" might be the way to go.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

I put the ThrottleMeister on my 2012 RS and loved it. I liked the ThrottleMeister more then I like the BRP standard Cruise Control that Is now on my F3. Easy install as well.

The later models are "throttle by wire"; you might be able to add cruise control, with OEM pieces.
