Sport rack Alternative?
Hello all, I have a top bag that is coming with my soon to be here 2011 RS . It has a Corbin seat with a passenger back rest. I am looking for info on a possible alternative to the sport rack that can hold up my top bag. I don't like the way it hangs off the back rest. A true sport rack would work as well, but I have not seen one that I wish to pay for. Thanks for any help.

Dont know if will work for you but I found a sissybar bag & just ran a bicycle cable lock thru the D rings to lock it to the passenger grab rails, it worked good enough for me for few trips, image.jpg
I've now added a hitch & have few more options.

Thanks Everyone
Thanks for the ideas, but the back rest I have is a Corbin and part of the seat. so no way to attach a rack like that. The bag is a sissy bar bag it just hangs funny. I was hopping there was a cheaper accessory then the oem sport rack.

Hi Trbayth,
Re: I would pay money for a rack like that for my ST.
Here are some photos of the luggage rack that I built for my '08. It is not real pretty upon close inspection ( I'm not a welder by trade ) but it worked just fine last year on about a 900 mile trip.
I do NOT want to build them to sell. However, if you can find someone to make one for you, I would be glad to provide some detail info.
