2015 RT runs rough and trouble starting
My 2015 RT has started running rough (idle RPM jumps between 800 and 900), and also doesn't start without cranking. I have to give it gas while starting. This is intermittent. Sometimes starts on first push of the starter. Other times, crank and crank and crank. Not dependent on warm or cold. I had it in to a shop. $840 later, no change. What does this sound like? Anyone have this happen?

$ 840.00 later ? For what? Seems to me that a 2015 should still be on Warrenty? Hope it gets figured out soon.

Don't ever touch the throttle when you're trying to fire it up... you're just flooding it, and may actually be causing the problem.
Otherwise... I'd bet that it's a batch of bad gas.

Sea foam
I was having same problem, put some sea foam in cleared. Now if in an area were I do not feel they sell much high octane gas I buy the cheapest and put in an additive.
Good luck kenn

Warranty ran out three weeks before I brought Spyder in to the service dept. They changed plugs and put it back together. Nothing changed. I have been through several tanks of gas, so I don't think it is bad gas.
If I don't turn the throttle while starting, all it does is crank. (sometimes it starts right up)
I had a 2012 Spyder RT that had cracked vacuum hoses, but it had 20,000 miles on it. My 15 has only 13,000. Still new.
Appreciate any other comments!

Try this....
Run some injector cleaner through with the next tankful. Also get to the throttle body and clean it as well. They may be blocked and only flow with high demand...

Do you store it where the mice could have possibly built a nest in the air filer box or chewed through something important?

No mice
My Spyder is never stored. I ride it in Montana in the summer, and Arizona in the winter. (Lucky me!)

That's a good idea. I was having the rough running issue last year and injector cleaner did the trick.

Sounds to me like the throttle by wire (TBW) could be bad. or some sort of throttle position sensor is goofy. could be sucking tween the throttle body and the intake also. spray some wd40 around the base of the throttle body while it's cranking and see if that helps.

2008 Manual Shift Spyder 33,000 miles, Starts Rough
starting to have an issue once its hot and shut off for say 15 minutes I have to turn the throttled and crank before it starts. Then runs rough for a couple minutes. I tried putting new OEM NGK plugs in, didn't change. Been through a couple tanks of gas so it not bad fuel. When cold or cooled down all the way its fine. Have Hindle and K&N air filter. Saw something about running some fuel injection, have not tried that yet. Anyone else having this issue ??
