    It doesn't "Break loose" from the bike: it folds down against the upper wind deflectors that are tucked along the bottom corners of the windshield.
    And when that arm broke on my 2010 RT: I had the 27" windshield in place. It wasn't even close to hitting anybody!
    So why do I think that it won't hit me? Because it didn't.
    Think I'm lying?? Pop the center strut loose from YOUR bike, and see where the windshield ends up laying...
