Default RT Ride Height - How to check/adjust?

Does anyone have information that shows/tells how to check/adjust for correct ride height of a 2015 RT.

I saw in another post the page from the service manual, but can not find the old post.

I know you measure from shock bolt to shock bolt on each side.

I have Elka shocks and can adjust the pre-load to adjust ride height.

    Thanks

I think the easiest way is to simply measure from the nose of the Spyder to the ground. You need to unload any storage compartments, sit on the Spyder and gently rock it back and forth to be sure the shocks settle out first. Then do your nose to ground measurement on a level surface. You do need to be sure both shocks are adjusted to the same height, of course.

I do not know what the exact factory spec ride height is. But maybe some owners with non-adjustable shocks could give you their ride height and that would at least give you a starting point.

The 2013 frame was altered for the 1330 engine but the engine was not ready. So 2013 models still had the 998 engine. There were no changes after that and the engine size has no bearing on correct suspension geometry. I have Elka stage 2s and adjusted the preload by experimenting until it felt good. After reading the specs previously posted by Sledmaster, I had my wife measure the shocks today with me on the bike. I am dead on at 17 and 1/2 inches CL to CL for the bolts. Damn, I'm lucky..... Jim
