fog lights?
help. i have a2014 arts. replaced the 2 burnt out oem fog lights with an h8 leds. looking at the front of the bike the leds seems very low. so i replaced them with stock oem h8 bulbs. the stock h8 did not even light up. again i then put back the h8 leds and again very low been almost non visible. why?

Since switching to all LED bulbs up front: I've noticed that the foglights just don't seem to be as visible also... Have you actually taken a look at what they do in the dark?
I think that it has a lot to do with how tightly they are focused...

Fog lights
Yes I did look at them in the dark. It sucks. My heated grips work so I know it's not the relay. Where else can I look on why LEDs are very low and why the standard fog light bulb will not turn on.

Interesting. ...
you seem to have a power drain that started when the original bulbs burned out. May have been a surge that damaged more than the bulbs. Time to check the voltage coming to the bulbs to see what you have. Then work your way back. May need the dealer if it gets too deep....

Also check the ground side...
Good voltage won't light a bulb without a ground. A large percentage of the electrical issues I have dealt with have been caused by a grounding issue.

I agree. A bad ground is a common problem that gets over looked. If it is loose or corroded, it could limit the voltage enough to lower the light out put.

Thank you all for the great ideas. I will look at the voltage and also the ground wire. Will get back to you.

Rafael, could it be the LEDs you purchased are low lumen output? If you need help, you know where I am.
Let's get you trailer and hitch sorted out also.

But just an observation ... the fog lights on my 2014RT are pointed very low. It is accentuated by use of an LED bulb. BUT they light the road surface like they should.
I had wanted increased visibility of my front end (years ago I T-Boned a lady who turned directly into my path).
But I found that where I got the increase in visibility was by adding LED's to my main beams. WOW
