it's like the trophy case full of trophies for years of participation....Would seem you were a great athelete even if you sat on the bench the whole time...

When I was finishing high school, it was a given than a college degree - any college degree - was the ticket to a well-paid career. It's just not so any more. But people still think they have to have a college degree. And, unfortunately, companies are requiring a degree or certificate for just about any job, even though it has no bearing on actual job performance.
It's really sad. If I was advising a young person today, I'd advise them to learn a trade, get a job, and then, if they really want to pursue higher education studies - and only then - to go on to college.

If tested correctly, a students can only get a good grade if they learn something. Lazy teachers like no grades.
