Default 09 GS longer throttle cables?

I have mounted RT handlebars on my 2009 GS and the next issue I have is the throttle cables are a little short. Does anyone know if longer ones are available?

    Default Well....

Not that I know of...I'd you go under the Tupperware and cut all the zip ties..? That should give you some more cable... custom made or matched at a bike shop. Maybe the cables from older RT...

I agree with cutting the zip ties. But, just in case that doesn't work, we had a member on here awhile back that had what are called ape hangers installed, and he had no problem finding other cabling. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd dig up the old thread with a picture of his spyder.

I have cut all ties, wiring will be no problem. I'll remove the cables and see if I can get a match

pull off the plastic and start cutting zip ties,
you will want to replace some of them there's plenty of cable
    there.

If I recall, I gained some slack by REROUTING the throttle cable over a large wire harness that it was previously underneath. This freed up considerable slack. These Spyders seem to be somewhat randomly built, so this may not apply to yours, but check it out.

This may have the taller riser block, can someone measure the stock one for me? That would gain me a little.

The one BRP sold was 1 1/4"s Taller and it is very noticeable from the stock one, when you look at it from the side....... Good luck re-moving it ......I did the 4 1/2" riser thing twice ( an SM & SE ) & if you cut all the ties there was plenty of slack in there .......... Mike

I DID remove the BRP riser and replaced it with the shorter one in preparation for the 4.5" bar risers.

The extended BRP riser is about 2" from bottom of flange to its end 20170206_083816.jpg
The standard riser is about 1"

Got any instillation pictures? What did you have to change out to do this?

I made an adapter plate out of 1/4" steel. Tapped 4 holes for the handlebars and drilled 3 holes for the steering shaft. Will post pics when I have the final working solution
