I Need To Add A Mud Flap
It made it into the 60's here in north east Ohio today. The roads today were still wet from yesterdays rain, and now I see I need to add a mud flap on the back.
Even though the Spyder needs a good cleaning now (see pic), It was great to get out and ride in the middle of January.

MUD FLAP
ANY/EVERY RIDE IS A GOOD RIDE..... DIRT AND ALL.....
I MADE PICKLEHEAD A MUD-FLAT FOR HIS RT... GOT A PIECE OF PLEXIGLASS AT LOWE'S, CUT IT AND FORMED IT ON THE INSIDE OF THE OEM FLAP, AND SCREWED IT IN WITH 4 SS SCREWS.... HE'S HAD IT NOW FOR 5 YEARS AND STILL IN GOOD SHAPE....
JUST DO IT.....

I made one out of a piece from the mat that I have under my office chair. after painting it black to match the rear of the bike, I attached it with stainless steel bolts and have been very happy. If I don't tell anyone, they think it is a bought one.

Bought this and
some stainless hardware at Lowe's. This fits perfectly and kept my Spyder clean during our 135 mile ride on wet roads today. Yep, roads were wet in southern Ohio too. I left nine inches hang below the stock fender. I can post a pic tomorrow as it is dark now and I am comfy in my recliner.

Here are some pics. I have less than $20 in it and it works great.

We are only about 15 miles from you, was out today with one of the bikes also. Supposed to be nice tomorrow, we are planning on riding.
Stop over when you want to do something about all that dirt in the back. The Rear Mud Flap Accents from Big Bike Parts seem to work well.
Shown below on our own RT.

It's a generic mud flap from O'Reilly's. Cut the top off, mounted with Stainless screws behind the license plate. Works great!

That is exactly what I did. If the Spyder wasn't tarped up under three feet of snow I'd take a photo.
