    Default Needs some ideas

I installed the Seal Floorboards, and I love them. But, I have one issue: the part that extends the foot brake through the floorboard is just heavy enough that it weighs down the brake pedal and triggers the switch that activates the brake lights. This causes my brake lights to remain on. This defeats the purpose of the brake lights.

Any ideas? Has anyone encountered this problem before?

FYI: the part is L-shaped, metal, bolts to the original brake pedal, and is fed up through a slot in the floor board.

if you could post a picture, it would help people understand that is going on. also the best idea i have is to call seal, and tell them the problem you are having, i am sure they will help you. one more thing, put on your signature what year and model bike you have, it helps for people to know what bike you are talking about

BOB you are a life saver!!!! I've had the exact same problem with my brake lights staying on since the installation of the Seal floor boards; which by the way I love.

When I called John @ Seal Boards he implied that he'd never heard of this being a problem from anyone else. Not flaming John nor his product but feel that another look @ this issue might be warranted. Thank you River City 45 for bringing this to others attention.

Don't know who's video that was on the washer spring fix but thank you, you did everyone a great service!!!

Thanks. Gave me enough info to do a temporary fix for today's ride. Long-term fix to come!
