    Default Second Spyder...

When we got our new 2013 ST limited in 2015 we were wanting a sportier version of the Spyder. We were not quite ready for the big touring RT. Really happy with it. But someone said that whatever I do...DONT ride the 2014 and newer RTs with the 1330...because its incredible, youll want one. So since we didnt really care for the big touring version anyway so we never opted to. Then came one day when we took our ST in for service. The dealer came up and offered us a 2015 RT for running around while ours was being serviced. So what the hey, right? Dang! What a difference. Dont have to keep the revs up like the v twin. You can short shift it...cushy ride...was kinda hooked. So weve been looking for about 6 months for one. Then saw an ad on craigslist for a 2014 RT-S in Pearl white for sale...at an RV dealer...with 3000 miles on her for just under $14000. Couldnt believe it...called and put money down to hold her sight unseen. Drove the 300 miles, checked it out...trailered it home! So now we have his and hers. For the long rides with groups we'll take out the RT. For other events we will ride solo. Still like the ST a lot...it just looks badass...but that pearl white is just plush i have to say. So the RT just got the tinted shorty windshield, the new short antenna. Going to get the sway bar and bump skid next...with other good stuff!

Wow! You got a heck of a deal on that RTS. Congrats on being a 2 spyder family. I know I like both of mine (2014 RT & 2012 RSS). Both have their place in my life.

SCHWEEET ! I wouldn't mind going the other way and finding a clean older 998 for a deal. You did really well.

That's what i did. It takes a couple of miles to get used to the switch each time. For me there is not only the different rpm's, but the different number of gears, and the fact that one is an auto, and the other is a manual.
    But, it is still fun.
