came off my 2011 RSS NO RIPS, TEARS, OR SCUFFS. Perfect condition, replaced with Corbin.

Wow! I really want this, but since my RSS is in the shop, I need to know the financial damage on the repairs first. How does the comfort seat work? does it move the driver back 2" like the ones on the RT?

I do not have anything to compare the Comfort seat with as the bike came with it already mounted. But, if the stock seat is like the Corbin, you will sit further back.

I just so happened to have taken some pictures before install.
Stock RS seat vs OEM Comfort seat.

I didn't measure the different in seating position.
You can see the different shape of the seat though and you are not pushed forward like the stock seat.

Is the seat still available? Will it fit a 2009 GS and does the seat make much of a difference in the back pain?

Checking on the fit now. Never had a stock seat so don't know about back pain!

I just gotvthe the part numbers for the stock seat for the 09 GS and the 11 RS, and they are the same seat. So there should be no problem with the fit of the comfort seat.
And yes, it's still available.
